What makes a company video good – and how do we find the right format?

Many companies know that video is a powerful communication tool but are unsure of what to show and how to do it. Should it be an interview? An atmospheric video? A case study? Something completely different?

The short answer is: It depends on what you want the video to achieve. Here are some typical considerations we discuss together before we begin.

Who is the video for – and what should it achieve?

We always start with the target audience. Is it customers, new employees, investors – or internal to the organization?
The purpose guides the choice of format, tone, and duration.

  • Do you have an important story to tell?

  • Do you want to show how you work?

  • Is your goal to build trust, increase visibility, or foster understanding?

Once we know the answer, choosing the right video format becomes much easier.

What should we showcase – and who should say it?

Sometimes the message is conveyed through people, other times through visual impressions.
We can work with:

  • Interview or voice-over

  • Everyday environmental portraits

  • Clips from productions, collaborations, or usage scenarios

  • Text and graphics that explain without narration

There's no single right way, but there's a good solution for your situation.
