From initial contact to final images – here's how an event assignment works

A successful event deserves good documentation. Many companies are looking for an event photographer in Copenhagen who works discreetly and delivers quickly - but how does it actually work? Here's an insight into how I approach an event assignment, from the first contact to the finished images.

1. Before the event - setting expectations and planning

When a client contacts me to book event photography, we start by mapping out:

  • What is the purpose of the images?

  • Who is the target audience?

  • Where and when does the event take place?

I always ask about timings, highlights, and speakers – and whether the images will be used on LinkedIn, websites, or in the press, for example.

2. On the day – discreet and present

As an event photographer, my role is to document without disrupting. I work with lightweight equipment, move around quietly, and capture the atmosphere, interactions, and small moments that tell the story.

I often work with establishing shots, details, and portraits of speakers. If needed, I also take quick photos for social media along the way.

3. After the event – fast delivery and editing

I send a selection of images the same evening or the next day, ready for use in communication. The full package is typically delivered within 48 hours, with images optimized for both print and digital platforms. Many customers need quick photos from the day within a short period of time to post on social media platforms such as LinkedIn.

4. What does it cost?

The price depends on the duration, number of photos, and type of event, but I always send a clear offer in advance. You can see examples of previous assignments and photos here.

Whether you're planning a networking reception, an internal seminar, or a large conference, quality photos can help amplify your message. If you need an event photographer in Copenhagen or elsewhere, feel free to contact me for a no-obligation chat.
