Event photographer

An event photographer must master several different photographic disciplines. Portraits, reportage, group shots and everything in between. Events are never the same, so every assignment is different. But above all, an event photographer must be able to capture the key moments and the stories that unfold when people come together.

Below you can see examples of event photography and what it looks like when I photograph events and conferences in Copenhagen and the rest of Denmark.

Event photographer in Copenhagen

Planning a conference or event in Copenhagen? Remember to book a photographer and document the atmosphere of the event.

I work as a photographer in Copenhagen. I specialize in conferences and events. One of the reasons for this is that this type of assignment offers exciting challenges and places high demands on me. Both photographically and personally.

Conferences and events can be small and intimate or huge. But the photographic challenges have a lot in common. A typical conference room, for example, is not created with beautiful photography in mind. That means, among other things, knowing how to make the most of a room where the lighting might be more suited to PowerPoint than portraits.

Event photographer for your event

Whether the conference is a small gathering of colleagues or the whole company meeting at Bella Center, the photographer needs to be able to navigate around to find the best shots. Either as the fly on the wall, where participants are not disturbed. Or be more distinctive, and have larger groups directed together for a common image. As a photographer, you often slip in and out of different roles. All the time focusing on where the good shots are and what the mood of the room is like.

Fortunately, there is often a prior agreement to rely on. That way, there's often a plan for what the important images are and how today's will be documented. But something unexpected always happens along the way. And those situations can easily make for great images, as long as you're prepared.

Find the right photographer for your conference

It's hard to put into words what makes an image good. But you can often tell pretty quickly whether you're looking at something you like or not. So my best advice is to take a look at the pictures on this site. It's a limited selection, and the images have been chosen to give you an idea of my style and approach to conference and event photography. You can also see more examples in the gallery here. If you like the style of the photographs, it's a great starting point for a chat about how we can document your event together in Copenhagen or elsewhere in Denmark.

Events cover many different types of events. They can be:

- company parties

- Employee trips

- customer events

- Sports events

Typically, events are based on a larger or smaller group of people coming together and going through a programme. From a photographer's perspective, this is a very attractive starting point. Because when people come together under such conditions, good subjects are almost guaranteed. Happy, spontaneous and authentic expressions are some of the key ingredients of good images, and these expressions come out easily when people meet somewhere other than the office.

Event photography brings both joy and value

It is obvious to use the images from an event in your company's internal and external communication. Internally, employees can look back on an enjoyable day in the company of their colleagues. Externally, the images can be used long after the event is over. Platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn are great places to showcase images from your organisation's social life. This gives potential job candidates an insight into the people and culture of the organisation or company. I leave all rights to you, so there are no restrictions on how you can use the event photos afterwards.
